If You Can’t Sleep, Get Up

Don’t lie awake trying to get to sleep any longer than 30 minutes. If it goes that long, get up. Do something quiet and non-stimulating. When you feel tired again, go back to bed.

 

it’s after midnight but before dawn. A very unnatural hour to rise. I have not slept or anything close to sleep despite trying for about an hour and a half. Lights off. In bed. Lying, ready, waiting…waiting…waiting. Should I get up and try again later? Indecision, ’09. I suppose I’ll see.
